Casual Mobile Game — Android
Engaging casual mobile game built in Unity with smooth animations, progressive difficulty levels, in-app purchases, and optimised performance across Android — published on Google Play.
Engineering a Polished Casual Game — From Assets to Both Stores in 14 Weeks
The client came to us with a fully designed game concept, character assets, and sound effects ready — but needed an engineering team to turn those assets into a fully functional, monetised, and store-compliant mobile game. The target audience was casual mobile players aged 18–45 on Android, and the performance bar was high: 60 frames per second on a wide range of devices.
We built the complete game in Unity using C#, implementing the core game loop, scoring system, progressive difficulty levels, and smooth sprite animations. The monetisation layer was integrated via Unity IAP for cross-platform in-app purchases with server-side receipt validation. We also integrated Game Center Google Play Games for Android achievements. The full Google Play submission process — including age rating compliance, privacy policy, and content review — was handled end-to-end by our team. The game passed store reviews on the first submission.
The Challenge
Delivering a polished, monetised mobile game with consistent 60fps performance across the full spectrum of devices — from low-end Android phones with limited GPU memory to the latest iPhone models — while integrating a compliant in-app purchase system and meeting Google Play content and technical requirements, all within a 14-week fixed timeline.
Our Solution
We applied a performance-first engineering approach in Unity: sprite atlas optimisation to reduce draw calls, object pooling for recurring game elements to avoid garbage collection spikes, and adaptive quality settings that automatically adjust rendering resolution and shadow quality based on detected device tier. Unity IAP was integrated with server-side receipt validation to prevent fraudulent purchases. We managed the full store submission workflow including content ratings, privacy policy compliance, and technical review requirements for platform.
The Result
The game was published on both the Google Play, passing store review on the first submission with no policy violations or technical rejections. 60fps performance was achieved and maintained on 95% of the tested devices. The in-app purchase flow is live and validated. Full source code, build pipeline documentation, and a store management guide were delivered to the client at handover.
